Determinants of Neuronal Excitability: Modeling the Roles of Sensory TRP and Potassium Channels
Event date:
Wednesday, Sep 24, 2014 - Wednesday, Sep 24, 2014 Export event
Event Location: Oude Markt 13, 3000 Leuven, Belgium
This event has passed. Check out our upcoming Networking Events.
This event will bring together a number of specialists from the field of neuronal excitability. Students will be instructed on the use of
biophysical techniques to study the function of ion channels in different neuronal preparations, including extracellular nerve recordings,
conventional and automated patch-clamp, fluorimetric intracellular calcium imaging and microelectrode arrays (MEA). This event will also
serve to establish the bases for future collaborations between the participating groups, which will be aimed to the development of
models of neuronal excitability, incorporating detailed information about the biophysical and pharmacological properties of sensory TRP
channels. Lunch is provided.
