This will be a half-day event entitled “Musical Notes at the Heart of Biophysics: Insights into Cardiac Rhythms”. The target will be individuals (especially students) who are interested in the intersection of biophysics and music, especially as it relates to key components of the heart.
The beginning of the event will be lead by networking, followed by an opening by Drs. Presley, Brown and Steed. There will be speaker “Spotlights” that will address the biophysics associated with the heart and music in normal and diseased states.
This event will allow the audience to see the exciting world of biophysics from a different lens by exploring heart rhythms, vibrations, and the etiology of how music can significantly impact the heart.
