This event has passed. Check out our upcoming Networking Events.
This event will be held on November 24, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, EAT. The event will be held at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega, Kenya. The event is organized by BPS member and BPS Ambassador, Dr. Philip Amuyunzu Mang'are, MMUST.
This event brings together young scientists, with special emphasis to women who will in turn become agents for spreading and strengthening biophysics education and research in Africa. The participants will come from diverse areas in Africa, allowing blended presentation in order to cut down on cost of traveling and upkeep. Our emphasis will be on face to face for optimal interaction.
Renowned speakers will be invited to mentor the young scholars, professionals and researchers in areas of biophysics. Biophysical research techniques will be emphasized in order to spur quality research. Equipment essential in biophysical research will also be explored. Emphasis will be placed on key thematic areas such as medical biophysics, biomechanics, acoustics and nanoscience. Participation will include posters, abstract presentations, plenary sessions, topical exposure and exhibits.
