myBPS FAQ

You will need a myBPS account to access some parts of the biophysics.org website and make any online transactions with BPS. Any website user can create a myBPS account, no matter your membership status with BPS.

With a myBPS account, you will be able to manage your account details in a convenient and secure manner. With a myBPS account you will be able to: Create and share a personal professional profile Manage account details such as member number, address change, ORCID id, updates to professional details, and more View and track account transactions Join and renew easily including easy upload of necessary documentation for membership Manage volunteering preferences Join the Find a Biophysicist Network Access many members-only features such as voting, Membership Directory, webinars, and more.

You can sign up through www.biophysics.org. Follow the steps below: Click "Login" at the top right of the screen. Click "Create Account." Select "Continue" under the option that applies to you, choosing between "I'm new to BPS" or "I have a current or past relationship with BPS." You'll then be able to create a new account or find your existing record and update your profile.

myBPS was implemented in early April 2018. Regardless of your member status, if you have not visited the website or completed any transactions with BPS since April 2018, then you most likely do not have a myBPS account. If you're not sure, you can check by trying to log in.

Yes, you can conveniently update your address and other personal information by logging into your myBPS account and clicking on “View myBPS Profile” to update or edit your information.

You may retrieve your password by clicking on “Forgot Password?” on the login screen. You will receive an email with your password reset link.

You may retrieve your username by clicking on “Forgot Username” on the login screen. You will be prompted to provide information in order to recover your username.
