Meet an Expert: Prof. Dr. Marta Filizola a Computational Biophysicist from Mount Sinai, New York, US
3/21/2024 University of Marburg Marburg, Hessen, Germany
At the ECI GPCR forum Zoominar on March 21st, we will host Prof. Dr. Marta Filizola from the Department of Pharmacological Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, located in New York, USA. Dr. Marta Filizola is a well-known computational biophysicist, and her group focuses on obtaining rigorous mechanistic insights into the structure, dynamics, and function of important classes of membrane proteins and prominent drug targets, including G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), transporters, channels, and beta3 integrins.
During the 1-hour session, we will be hearing about the career path of Prof. Filizola, the ups, and downs of her journey-especially as a woman scientist- and her recommendations to the ECIs in the field. This online event will give all ECIs in the field of computational biophysics/chemistry from all around the globe to join the session, benefit from the experience of a true expert, and take advantage of this unique opportunity to ask their questions directly from a senior scientist. The event does not require registration and it will be announced in https://www.gpcrforum.org/home and our X account: @GPCRzoominar
