Biomolecular Simulations: Could They Work for Me?

3/19/2024
University of Glasgow
Scotland, United Kingdom

Professor Sarah Harris (Professor of Biological Physics, University of Sheffield) will deliver as special edition of the Glasgow Protein Interest Group (GPIG) sponsored by the British Biophysical Society (BBS) in which she will give a whirlwind overview of the current capabilities of biomolecular simulations, using illustrative examples from her own research on the importance of DNA supercoiling and the mechanics of molecular machines. Participants will then discuss how biomolecular simulations might be applied to their research questions, and explore the future computational developments that would be most useful to experimental biophysicists and structural biologists. At 16:00 GMT participants will network over free drinks and pizza in the ARC atrium. All welcome!

Event starts at 14:30 GMT and ends at 17:30 GMT.
