Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the Heart by Numbers: Integrating Theory, Computation and Experiment to Advance Cardiology meeting thematic meeting, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, on September 4–7, 2018.
The focus on mathematical and biophysical models coupled with experiments sets this meeting apart from cardiological and biological meetings. Topics will include subcellular structures, excitation-contraction coupling, metabolism, contraction, organ electrophysiology, heart mechanics, total heart function, disease modelling and therapy from combined modelling and experimental perspectives.
The meeting will promote the interdisciplinary goals of quantitative cardiology, providing a balanced presentation of experimental and modelling results. We invite biophysicists, biologists, mathematicians, physicians, and engineers to attend, participate, and contribute with oral presentations, posters, and discussions.
This meeting is being organized jointly by the Biophysical Society (BPS), the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine Berlin, the German Center for Cardiovascular Diseases (DZHK), and the Berlin Institute of Health. Please visit the website for the program overview and list of speakers. Contributed talks will be selected from submitted abstracts. Please share this information with colleagues who may be interested in attending.
The deadline to submit a late abstract is June 25, 2018.
We look forward to seeing you in Berlin!
